Join us for our 2019 conference, on Thursday 7 November, to hear speakers from across the country, take part in workshops to help get you Board ready, and network with organisations that could help you find your next role.

In partnership with NatWest, Business West and the University of the West of England, we are bringing you a packed day designed to engage and encourage the next leaders of Bristol and the surrounding area.

12.00 – Breakout sessions

Introduction to financial governance – Run by Jo Greenwood, Business West, this session will help you feel more confident, and better understand the questions you need to ask when discussing finance on a Board.
Board insights – Chaired by Christine Bamford, CEO women’s Coin and Programme Director of Stepping Up, a panel of experienced Board members with Marti Burgess, St Paul’s Carnival and West of England LEP; Dr Lisa Brodie, Engineering Professors Council Board and Aerospace; and Poku Osei, Babbasa.
Networking with confidence – University of West of England (UWE)

13.00 – Lunch – With a speech from Cllr Asher Craig, Deputy Mayor for Communities

14.00 – Leadership mindset – A session run by UWE on how to think like a leader, and ensure you walk out the room ready to apply for your next Board role.

15.00 – Final speech – Mayor Marvin Rees and Kalpna Woolf, CEO BeOnBoard

15.30 – Conference ends. All delegates are welcome to stay for a drink and networking with local businesses
