Join the Board of directors at Ujima Radio CIC – Bristol’s leading Black Media & Arts organisation and winner of the National Diversity Awards and Community Radio Awards for its diverse programme of activities and vision.
At the core of Ujima Radio CIC is the Ofcom licensed community radio station, broadcasting culturally relevant news, discussions, music and online with 30,000 weekly listeners.
Right now Ujima is recruiting for new members to bring their skills and experiences to the existing Board. It’s an exciting time for the voluntary sector but it’s a challenging one too. Ujima Radio need someone who can add value and contribute to its new strategic direction.
About the Role
Ujima is a Black-led organisation whose voluntary Board of Directors are all connected and working with Black communities in Bristol to understand their needs, priorities and grow their capacity and representation.
This is a voluntary position requiring a commitment to monthly meetings. In particular, Ujima Radio are looking for people with experience in:
- Sales & Marketing
- Business development & fundraising
- Financial Management & social investment
- Governance, Legal and HR experience
