Making ED&I work for your Business

Led by Kalpna Woolf and Julz Davis, our virtual workshops show how you can promote and deliver ED&I as an essential aspect of good people management and how you can make it work for your business…


Promoting and delivering EDI in the workplace is an essential aspect of good people management.

The overall aims of this workshop are to:

  • Establish a base-line understanding of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
  • Explore the relationship between an inclusive business strategy and business success
  • Look at the importance, benefits and challenges of ED&I to your organisation
  • Share best practice to help accelerate inclusion in your organisation

Delivered by an experienced ED&I workshop leader during the morning we will cover themes including:

  • What is diversity, equality, inclusion?
  • What are the benefits of inclusive leadership?
  • Building your business case for ED&I
  • ED&I business priorities
  • From intention to action
  • Identifying what support and resources you need to succeed

Following attendance at this workshop, there will be an opportunity to receive two 1-2-1 sessions to help deepen your commitments to your ED&I ambitions, address potential challenges to achieving these and provide tools and tactics for maintaining momentum. Each of the 121’s will be delivered by an experienced ED&I business mentor.


Meet the Facilitators

Kalpna Woolf – CEO BeOnBoard

Kalpna has had an award-winning 20-year career in the BBC, where she was Head of Factual TV, overseeing a £100m global business, including the BBC’s world-renowned Natural History Unit. She continues to work with the creative sector. Alongside this, she has established an impressive portfolio career underpinned by her business track record and her passion for social justice and equality. She has been a board member for the West of England LEP (Local Enterprise Partnership) Board. She is currently on the Board of Governors for University of West of England and a director for BBRC. She has written two successful food books – and in 2015 she founded 91 Ways to Build A Global City, an innovative charity which seeks to bring together Bristol’s 91 language communities by sharing their different food cultures.


Julz Davis

Julz has a 20+ year track record of delivering disruptive engagement solutions for complex campaigns across the community, civic and commercial sectors. He has worked for award-winning communication agencies, world food distributors, large-scale events, ethnic media and ethical banks.
