Chair of the Board of Trustees
Broken Chains Uk is a vision by the CEO to reach children affected by Parental substance misuse. Broken chains is looking to launch within the next 3 months and when it does it will be providing a 12 week intervention course for children aged 11 onwards. Resource packs for younger children will be available and there will also be packs available to care givers etc on how to help the child in the home. Broken chains will use up to date research and focus on 2 areas – Building resilience and therapy.
We already have a great group of trustees on board who all bring great skills. We also have a advisory panel made up of experts. We are looking for the right candidate to come on board as the Chair of the Board. Experience of a similar role is preferable. The ideal candidate has to buy into the vision and be prepared to get involved to help drive the charity forward. The vision is huge so we want someone who is commited to the cause.
This is a voluntary position but expenses will be paid in line with charity policy.
The role involves regular contact with the CEO, leading the trustees and being involved in weekly zoom meetings. The role will also require the person to chair the annual board meeting, overseeing voting on important items and supporting the CEO
This role also involves lots of fun, lots of chances to fundraise and also the opportunity to join a team who all believe this is going to be a fantastic journey.
