Do you want to support community led creative initiatives in Bristol? Become a trustee at Bricks and help this small creative charity achieve its big ambitions for the year ahead
“We believe in the civic role of artists and that through collaboration we can have a strong collective voice to influence the growth of the city.”
Bricks is a small but ambitious charity with big plans for change in Bristol.
2021/22 will see Bricks take on a 16,000 sqft building in South East Bristol to test out ideas for how a local community and creative community can come together to grow a combined creative community hub.
The next 12 months will also see an expansion of Brick’s public art producing work and the appointment of a Public Art Producer, as well as an expansion and roll out of the Creative Infrastructure Network project and phase two of the Bricks Artist Programme.
“We need to ensure that we have a diversity of thought, as well as the right expertise to strategically guide our work alongside our other board member’s specialisms in capital fundraising, corporate law, universities, and socially engaged practice.”
In particular, Bricks are looking for candidates to join as trustees with expertise and experience in either:
- Property (particularly development or planning)
…and want to support community led creative initiatives in Bristol.
Bricks encourage applicants from Black and Minority Ethnic Backgrounds and those with disabilities as these perspectives are under represented in the current board.
The closing date is for applications is 5pm Friday 20th November. Please read the Trustee Brief to find out how you can apply and for further information about the role.
